CAPPMA Organized the Delegation of Tilapia Enterprises to attend GOAL 2015

2015 GOAL (Global Outlook on Aquaculture Leadership) conference was held on October 27th to October 29th. More than four hundreds of representatives from the world major aquaculture countries attended this meeting.

Representatives from Northern American account for the main part, of which about fifty percent are purchasers and merchants. Our Alliance (CAPPMA) has united five Chinese tilapia enterprises to be the diamond grade sponsor of GOAL for the first time. About eighteen representatives attended the conference, including the deputy Secretary-General of CAPPMA Di Gang, the vice chairman enterprises of Guangdong Hengxing Group, Hainan Xiangtai fishery Limited Company, Hainan Quanyi Food Limited Company and the syndic enterprises of Zhanjiang Guoyi Aquaculture Limited Company. It was the first time that our alliance took the head to organize the delegation of companies to attend international fishery conference being held abroad.

The conference provided interactive opportunity for producers and purchasers to talk about the health and benefits from aquaculture, markets and consumption of aquatic products face to face through conference reports in the morning and seminars in the afternoon. Di Gang, the deputy Secretary-General of CAPPMA, gave the lecture on “Responsible Chinese Tilapia Industry” during the Chinese Tilapia thematic section on 28th. He introduced the basic information about Chinese tilapia industry, and the following opportunities and challenges of changing to sustainable development to let Chinese tilapia industry known by the world and to enhance its competitive power. Our committee will continue organizing member enterprises to attend international fishery industry conferences in order to extend China’s influence over all fishery industry.
